Materials & Equipment needed

 

  • Laptop/PC – must be in the same network segment or able to direct-connect to panels.

  • Web Configuration Tool – supports the programming of panels and diagnostics of panels and peripheral hardware.

  • Compatible cable – for direct-connection to the CPU board if using a portable laptop.

  • Connect Laptop to CPU at the on-board LAN Port. 

    Laptop & CPU must be on same network segment.

Configure Panel Network Settings

 

The following configuration screen is reached via the 635 Web Configuration Tool. The IP Address items (shown in yellow) will typically be provided by an IT Department or Internet Service Provider - and must be appropriate for your network. The address values shown are for example only! The Location item (in blue) is optional. The MAC Address (in green) will be pre-programmed, and should not be changed.

Notes:


  • If you change the network settings, it can take a few seconds for the panel to come back up.
  • The MAC Address should not be changed.
  • This page and the Panel Summary page do not depend on the internal web server, but all other pages do.

 

 

 

Panel Controller (CPU) Configuration

This section covers programming the CPU from the webpage.

 

The following configuration screen is reached via the 635 Web Configuration Tool. Your first 635-series Controller should match the settings below. If you did not receive a second Event Server IP Address, leave the "Server 2" box (shown in yellow) un-checked.
